I love the challenge of making seemingly niche things accessible to a broad range of people. My work always involves some level of collaboration, and a script is most exciting to me when there is something unconventional about it to explore. I want to tell and platform stories that aim to reach beyond an echo chamber.

"I guarantee that Nicole Smith will make vital, innovative, unforgettable theatre."
- Judith Thompson, Artistic Director of RARE Theatre Company
