Unbook Club is a virtual get-together I host on the last Monday of every month (unless that Monday is Halloween). It's for readers of anything, from anywhere. The hour-long discussion is casual, and there's no longterm commitment to the group required. If you'd like to be added to the list to receive the monthly Zoom link, please drop your email in the space below. Our seventh meeting is tonight, November 1st, at 7PM EST, and everyone is welcome. For both events I'll be reading from my short play Euphemia, which was commissioned and produced last year by Green Light Arts as part of their summer show, We Could Be.
The first is called Craft Bites - an online reading series run by the guild, wherein two writers connect, read from their work, and have a conversation about their artistic practice. I've been paired up with the fabulous Hannah Rittner for this live-streamed event, and you can register for our discussion here. We'll be on Friday, March 4th, 2022, at 1pm EST/2:30pm NST. I'm also thrilled to be returning to the Women's Work Festival for a sixth year in a row, this time as a board member, panelist, and PGC playwright. Natalie Meisner, Prajwala Dixit, and Shannon Bramer are all women I admire as both artists and humans, so I'm really excited to be listed alongside them in this lineup. This event be live-streamed via YouTube here, and you can tune in on Wednesday, March 9th at 1:30pm EST/3pm NST. A big thank you to PGC for this support. Another month gone already, and our second unbook club gathering is upon us. This is a virtual get-together I host on the last Monday of every month. It's for readers of anything, from anywhere. The hour-long discussion is casual, and there's no longterm commitment to the group required. If you'd like to be added to the list to receive the monthly Zoom link, please drop your email in the space below. Our second meeting is tonight, February 28th, at 7PM EST, and everyone is welcome. The idea isn't mine. Many libraries run their own versions of the same thing, and it's been around for some time. While the gist is similar to a bookclub, the difference with an unbook club is that discussion doesn't centre around the same book. Participants can have read anything. As a lifelong bookworm and (nosy) human interested in what others are sinking their brains into, I've decided to facilitate a virtual unbook club throughout 2022. This is casual and requires no longterm commitment, but if you'd like to join me this month (or any other) to chat with others about what you've been reading, pop your email in the form below, and I'll send you the Zoom link. I'll be hosting a gathering the last Monday of every month (with a break over the summer) at 7pm EST, and everyone is welcome. Join us for a special zoom gathering, where our living room meets yours. Solastalgia by Kristin Shepherd was produced by Sonderlust at the Saol Project December 2-5th, 2021. Audience members joined us from near and far to sit around the campfire and share in the frozen magic of winter and its inevitable thaw. Now, in honour of the ever-evolving time we're all living in, Sonderlust is proud to present a digital version of Solastalgia. This special event will take place live, over a zoom call. Bring a snack, drink, and whatever else makes you happy, and let us see your face. Oh, please let us see your face! We really miss seeing faces; those of friends and strangers alike. . Friday, January 28th, 2022, 8pm EST & Sunday, January 30th, 2022, 2pm EST. Access to the show is by donation with a suggested minimum of $15. |
