HARRIET: She’s coming. MADGE: She is not. HARRIET: Yes she is, she’s coming. MADGE: You’re such a liar, Harriet. ANNIE: Madge don’t call names. BEV enters. ![]() 'mama used to dance' is a play i'm writing on about three sisters raised in a lighting store by their cher-obsessed gram. i imagine the store to look something like the photograph to the right. the one it's actually inspired by is in preston ontario and about half the size. this work is in development with thanks to the Ontario Arts Council, and most recently, Arts Connect Cambridge. Arts Connect Cambridge is generously supporting 'mama used to dance' and a handful of other local projects through their annual arts fundraiser, happening July 10th. this year, the fundraiser is the opening night performance of 'Grease' at the Hamilton Family Theatre. i'm so grateful to be a beneficiary! tickets are on sale now, for anyone who would like to contribute. they can be purchased here, or by contacting me directly. poster below, with many thanks.
